Kingfisher

I handed over all the paperwork to N & A this morning, it’s a relief after 20 years of looking after it.
I then decided to go on a road trip to the Severn valley countryside park, J offered to come but he would be bored & soon get cold in the bird hide so I went on my own.
There was no one about when I arrived so I had the hide to myself for about an hour, at one point a robin & a great tit were in it with me, lovely to see them so close up.
The highlight of the afternoon was the kingfisher, he came to a branch quite close to the hide, he dived & came back up with what looked like a cray fish but I’m not sure if it could’ve been. I’ve never seen a kingfisher so close & for so long before & it was such a privilege.
