M81

Another clear night so it was time to get the telescope out. In the middle of the image is M81, also known as Bode’s Galaxy, after the person who first discovered it in 1774. It’s about 12 million light years away. Above it is M82, aka ‘Cigar Galaxy’. Not sure the focus is right on this one. Will have to look into that.
