Latha Gàidhlig

Wednesday is Gaelic Day - in addition to my weekly clas fòn (tutorial), I also take part in a clas comhraidh (conversation clas) for students on SCQF 7 courses an above. It like a "speed dating" class in that you have a series of 10 minute conversation with other other students in pairs and then a group of four for the final round. It is good fun & practice - today I spoke about grandchildren (or lack thereof), going to Sabhal Mòr, assessments, and Lady Evelyn Stewart Murray !  I also find it quite tiring - its bad enough switching from topic to topic when making small talk with a series of people in English, let alone Gaidhlig.

The tutorial is longer but less tiring, partly because the tutor is good at mixing the activities we do and making it fun and I enjoy working with my class-mates.

Time now to relax with an episode or two of Game of Thrones.
