Around Skipton
I felt fine this morning and Frank dropped me off in Skipton while he went to meet the couple who are interested in our Narrowboat to take them for a trip on the boat into town.
I had one or two things to buy - a gift for Sue our choir leader as she is still not well. I went round the market and there was a stall I haven’t seen before - wool! I don’t really need any wool but the colours were lovely. The lady at the stall is from Penrith and just has a small herd of sheep which she keeps purely for their wool, the sheep never go to slaughter. She spins and dyes the wool herself. I couldn’t resist buying some!
Then I went to the Art Shop for an A5 sketch book.
Next I had to collect my new specs.
I had a bit of time to kill before I met Frank and ‘crew’ in the canal basin so I went to a cafe that I’ve walked past a few times but never been in. It was lovely and the lady very nice. I had two crumpets and a cup of tea.
I arrived at the basin just as Fiddlesticks was about to moor up.
We said goodbye to our visitors and drove home.
Now I’m going do some sketching for a while.
Goodnight ;-)X
