Thinking outside the box

I'm teaching Xmas to creep,  but we're struggling. It is difficult to explain to him that I want low forward movement. 

I want him to understand that it is about keeping his head low rather than stretch up towards me.

So yesterday I tried getting him to lie down and stretch forward to put his nose in a cup and use that as a target. Today I put him in a down a little further away and yes! he did creep to reach the cup.

Fingers crossed that we can increase distance and still keep the low forward creep.
