Quiet skies…..

Some of the fields are beginning to have a green tinge, where the new crops are making their presence felt.
It has been a busy few days,
Our Sunday lunch with Thierry and a friend was very special, on a very wet afternoon with deluging heavy rain and driving winds.
Yesterday was also wet, dark and miserable,
Today arrived as a total contrast in sunshine and a feeling of early spring as the light has begun to subtly alter,
I drove to the hospital for my last exercise class with the hip op people.
Walking along the driveway up to the main building there are fields and lovely trees on the righthand side.
This morning I could hear lots of different birds singing, including a beautiful Song Thrush.
There were two new ones in the class, and the rest of us, 6 in total finished the course today.
It has been so beneficial and encouraging.
I was told I was doing very well and one of them was quite shocked when I said it is my 77th birthday next week!
After lunch I went to have a coffee with the Pilates ladies after their class, of which I had been a participant for over 18 months.
Good to catch up with them all.
I am not rejoining just yet awhile, as I saw the Consultant once more last Saturday, having said to him on my final discharge that I would think about what to do about the other hip, my left one, having seen the X-rays, where he showed me the deterioration.
And then book an appointment after Christmas to have a chat.
The outcome of that when I saw him was to have the other hip replaced on March 7th.
Given my age I really didn’t want to leave it any longer, and know what to expect next time which does make it a bit easier.
Until then I will keep on doing the exercises the Physios have recommended to strengthen my leg muscles and balance.
I was so encouraged by the Physio telling me I had done so well.
It is just 3 months now since the operation.
I will finish here as it almost teatime, and catch up with more of your blips later this evening,
We have our Small group meeting here this evening, ( from church).
