Thorny Subject…

….up and into the garden after a chew at some toast and a slurp of coffee. Largely successful morning of work, but there’s quite a lot of clay at the foot of the patch, so progress feels slow.

Then to the dump with weeds and dead foliage and home via the Co-op to collect ingredients for tonight’s tea (btw, the dump gives the green stuff to Caledonian Horticulture at East Fenton and they turn it into soil improver).

After a short spin on the static bike in the garage, the sun came out so I jumped on my outside bike and got about 8 miles down the valley before I experienced a double puncture and I only had one spare tube. Damn. The excellent Border Buses service 68 to the rescue.
