Inflation?
I'm slowly wending my weary way through assorted odds and sods; I came across these two.
They're both for the same address (Back home), they're both "Household Goods". Earliest Jan 1925 - Dec 1925 name J. Berwick (Grandfather); total sum insured? A mighty £300. The latter has me befuddled & confusticated ©. It is also dated 1925. I wonder if same Policy was kept, because it's now in the name of C. H. Kane.I know Joe Berwick dies in 1941; we have all the sympathy cards, dates in June. I also know Mam and Dad married in 1941.
between 1925 and a guessimetric 1941 the goods value goes from £300 - to - £450.
The curious bit? In 1925 Mam would be just 20 and the weren't married until 1941, with me showing face about 14 months later.
Another case of my chant:-
"Ask us NOW while we're here; don't wait till we're gone and you're forced to guess!" I'm slowly wending my weary way through assorted odds and sods; I came across these two.
