Grandchildren

The 2 youngest boys came today and will return tomorrow. They wanted to learn a card game and choose 500. I haven’t played for about 50 years so had to look up the rules. It is pretty complicated for an 8 and 10 years old to work out but we played with the cards face up to see how it worked. We had a spare hand as Bob was off doing something and so I played with the salt shaker as my partner. That worked well seeing we could all see all the cards. 

Then we decided to go for a ride (the boys had bought their bikes over). They both had flat tyres so Pop found some repair kits and started on one but the glue had hardened beyond any usefulness. So we went for lunch which wasn’t successful. Elijah almost knocked his drink over and Charlie drank his so fast he almost choked. E didn’t want his meal and Bob’s never turned up. We gave up. Then bought some glue and one bike was fixed. The other had a terminal problem with the valve so it needs a new tube. Tomorrow. 

After lunch Pop took them home for a swim and I had a sleep. While all this was happening Leo came to mow the lawns. 

That’s my day. A big day for my sister Isbi who was in having surgery, see her blip from yesterday if you follow her.
