Tokamak

Will the boffins finally figure out how to make nuclear fusion? There seems to be constant news stories of small breakthroughs using billion dollar tokamak machines, but the final solution is yet to be found.
My home tokamak is actually an external computer fan with pretty lights, not a swirling mass of superheated plasma as hot of the sun, so no energy answers here either.
