Up Helly Aa from Home

45 years ago today I arrived in Shetland to start what was supposed to be a four year term with my work. It was a Monday the day before Up Helly Aa and the place was buzzing. There is still a buzz about during Up Helly Aa week but these days I tend to watch the live stream on TV.
