Anne's Daily Encounters

Serendipity

Driving up the road towards my Koumbara for our meet-up after her return last weekend from a long stay at her eldest daughter's, I found gypsie girls selling oranges on the spot where I found Evangelio and her man selling oranges alike, two months ago. I stopped and asked them if their grandma is named Evangelio... Yes, they told me and they recognized her from the photo. I asked them what their granddad is named... and they told me "Michalis". Thus I knew they know the couple from the photo's and they must be their granddaughters! Their parents were a little further on, and the father told me the people I photographed are his parents. The girls wanted me to picture them; here the Benjamin of them.
This had to be, this meeting; being able to buy oranges for my friend/Koumbara and being able to hand over the photo I carried two months with me to hand out to the couple... it's done to their grandchildren and their son. Another 10 days I'm here on Crete, so this mission being fulfilled, is another pleasure.
