Dome

As predicted today was a snow day, from 5am it has been snowing proper Christmas flakey snow so we knew any thought of skiing was a no go.
Not a problem. A return to the phenomenal Aqua Dome spa, with our new pals Roger and Penny coming too. Thankfully they got into the spirit as we jumped the bus to Längenfeld which was a tad scary with the snow chains on and some dodgy corners. Arrived at the spa, quick photo as no cameras allowed inside, random mammoth and snow plough for reference
We dropped them in at the deep end with an Aufguss. Our sauna meister was the eccentric Gabor who brought his ghetto blaster in, atmospheric music, ten minutes of intense sauna action. Three rounds of ice, and between each round Gabor wafted his massive fan in time to the music. Bizarre to the uninitiated ( we’ve experienced more bonkers in Krakow with Under Pressure and a guy waving a towel)
Once finished, out into the snow to cool down.
Exhilarating
Thankfully Rog and Pen thought so too.
Greta day hopping in and out the various saunas, steam rooms, more aufguss, a chocolate salt peel and then a honey one.
The endorphins were flying I finished the day in the outdoor pools where you were spun along a lazy river, climbed a tall cone which led to three more pools, salt , sulphur and then bubble. In each one folk we’re having a snowball fight.
It all felt like a crazy but rather relaxing and humourous dream.
Hopped the bus back to Obergurgl and dinner, beef cheeks, more cheese and then crisps and chat at the bar
