Une semaine

I left Comoros after a week, feeling recharged and content. It’s a unique place devoid of many grand tourist sights but which suits my style of travel, i.e. bumbling about. The sharp contrast of the black volcanic rock, lush vegetation and blue waters remain imprinted in my mind.

I am travelling with a capsule of ylang ylang with which I don’t know what I will do, but as Comoros produces 90% of the world’s crop, I thought it imperative to buy.

At the airport the check-in process was mind-numbingly slow and we all starting wilting in the line. Some chaps kicked off at the wait. It was revealed to be a system malfunction mixed in with a large degree of laidback island attitudes by the airport authority. People fanned themselves with their passports to pass the time without fainting.

I made it back to Dar es Salaam after a very pleasant week-long adventure.
