Some sad news.
After last week's storm, a number of trees in Edinburgh's Botanical gardens were uprooted or broken.  The tallest tree that was damaged (pictured here) is the Himalayan Cedar that was snapped in half.  It stood 100 ft (30metres high) and was over 160 years old.
