Street Sign
The speaker at the Museum was me, telling the audience about Bolton in the Second World War and showing them the presentation my colleague Brian and I put together in 2005 - Bolton Remembers the War, an oral history project to document living memories. I enjoyed doing that again, combined with photographs of prewar Bolton. At least some of the audience had been there.
Afterwards we went for lunch in the Babbacombe Cliff Railway cafe, giving me the chance to photograph a Minton street sign I haven’t done before. There are quite a few in this area, including the holy grail of signs which I have blipped before - the almost hidden Gentlemen sign still pointing to a non existent convenience.
