Runeberg Tart

J.L.Runeberg, Finnish National Poet was born on February 5th, 1804. Every year in the run up to his "birthday", a big deal over here, we are faced with these sickly sweet almond flavoured confections in the shops and in the cafes. Kirsi bought two because they were both gluten and Lactose free. Perfect for her dietary regime. However she couldn't eat the second one because it was simply too sweet.
So, I photographed it instead. Then I did the decent thing and ate every last scrap of it. Yum!
