Mono Monday - ‘Perspective’
Another day of being bunged up and coughing. I felt it wouldn’t be very nice for people to watch me constantly blowing my nose at the table, so sadly gave the monthly St Luke’s lunch at The Exchange a miss today.
I did manage to finish sorting out the ‘Pine Box’ (large wooden chest) so that it now contains hundreds and hundreds of family photos - loose and in albums - and have put in all of my own photo albums as well. It’s good to know they’re all in one place. I also emptied out one of the plastic boxes that had been cluttering up the hallway, and can now transfer some files into that for safer, drier storage in the garage. I can’t bear the thought of all the old paperwork which needs going through - most of it can probably be destroyed, but I will have to check first to make sure there’s nothing important and/or historical that ought to be saved.
While I was in the kitchen later on, bagging up the rubbish to put out for collection, I noticed the way the downlighter shining through the big glass cake dome was distorting the surface beneath it. I was looking at it from a new perspective, as if through the rippling and eddying water in a stream.
Thanks to laurie54 for hosting the Mono Monday challenge, with this week’s theme of ‘Perspective’.
