Shinto Temple

As promised, I am adding another photo from my short sojourn in Japan.  I was originally going to stay on the train to Osaka, but then realized that Osaka was very similar to Tokyo and the attraction of a visit to a famous Shinto Temple was too much to resist.  This one you can look up "Shinshu Honbyo (Higashi Honganji).  This photo is only one of the many buildings that made up the temple area, but the extra is the interior of the actual temple where I sat for a while to contemplate the past week.

I also had a very good meal with Japanese wagyu beef, see other extra which cost a fraction of what it would have cost in the US.  Delicious and I loved the several bows I received from one of the waiters when I managed to say Thank you, that was good in Japanese. (Google Translate can very helpful for ad hoc encounters).  This was a real treat and somehow something to thank my late dad for.  It made for a cathartic moment given the reason I was passing through Japan at this time.
