CHURCH CHARE

Had to get up early ( for me ) this morning as I was expecting a phone appointment call from my GP at 8.50am.  No call came.  I waited and waited.  Phoned the surgery at 10.20am to ask when I might expect the call ....   I was  12th in the queue. I didn't hang on to get through as I though the GP might try to ring and I would miss the call.  I did ring the surgery a few more times  just in case the queue was shorter but each time it was just as busy. So I gave up calling.  I finally got a call from the GP at 11.30am.  We discussed pain relief as I had stopped taking the last tablets he gave me due to them not helping.. and they had side effects.  He prescribed some different ones.  Hopefully they will be effective.

If the GP had called at the proper time I had intended going back to bed but by now it was too late as I had an appointment at the Health Centre at 2pm to see a physio so I just got dressed and pottered around doing a few chores.

It had been raining earlier but by the time I left the house to walk to the village it was fine. I had a good chat with the physio about the exercises she had sent me and which Ive been doing.  Some were Ok but some were more difficult for me so she modified them.  I need to keep doing them for a few weeks and if they aren't helping I can contact T.I.M.S.( Tyneside Integrated Musculoskeletal Service )for an appointment with them.  

Next I went to have a wander in search of a blip shot.  The Mono Monday theme is PERSPECTIVE.  Took my shot in Church Chare which is near St Mary's Church. Thanks to laurie54 for hosting.

Next stop was the chemists to pick up my repeat prescriptions as well as the tablets prescribed by the GP this morning.  Then to the greengrocers - usual chat to the owner about Newcastle United.  Then Herons and Tesco. A slow walk back home as my shopping trolley was full and heavy.  A young lady did carry it up some steep steps for me which was very kind of her.

After sorting out the shopping I caught up with an episode of Silent Witness... and had a nap.
