RGS-IBG
A day for RGS-related bits. Started with a long meeting about a curriculum project, then over to Downham and train down to London. Wandered through to the RGS-IBG for several interesting meetings; saw Doreen Massey's archive which was interesting, then a glass of wine and chat before meeting up with Dr. Rhian Meara. I had suggested her as a Monday night lecture speaker and she was asked to speak on her research on the Eldfell eruption on Heimaey in 1973. It was an excellent lecture. Out at the end to walk back to Knightsbridge through the Rutland Estate - my favourite route via the Hole in the Wall, and back to Downham - train fortunately without problems.
