Onwards and upwards....

3718. Timanfaya

We took a tour to Timanfaya National Park today, very touristy but fascinating too.
This was one of the geysers they demonstrate for the tourists.  The views were spectacular from this site, we got a 360 view of the entire park.  Despite the volume of tourists, not one of them can set foot on the lava fields, they can only view it from a coach.

The saga of our water ingress is continuing, had a short, passive aggressive email from our neighbour today, saying the issue had been “fixed”.  Our lovely neighbour downstairs met the contractors at our place and let them see the damage.  One of them is still insistent that the water is not coming from the upstairs balcony, but it is, without any doubt.  We are going to instruct another contractor to take another look, (at our expense) because we don’t trust the neighbours upstairs, their behaviour has been dreadful, rude, inconsiderate and downright belligerent!
It has totally spoiled the last week of our holiday as we have not been able to focus on anything else.  I know there are worse things that could have happened but this was totally avoidable and didn’t need to escalate to where we are now.  We still have a ceiling down and no sign of them accepting that their property is to blame and we can’t get it repaired until we know it has actually been sorted….it took 9 months last year to get them to actually do something and after three such events in 12 months, we’ve just about had enough.  We’ve put up with this happening at least once a year for 9 of the 15 years we’ve been here….
