Our Squirrel

Everyday we put out seed for the birds and almost immediately we will get several squirrels who will eat the lot. If any remain, the greedy pigeons will get the rest.

We didn't realise how much of a problem this was until Mr K did an hour's 'bird watch' for the RSPB, counting the different bird visitors to the garden. This brought home just how few small birds such as blue tits we were getting. Something had to be done!

We bought a squirrel proof feeder. They have been back today and tried their best, but no joy so far. No birds either but that will take time.

Perhaps it explains the pleading look on his face, right outside the kitchen window? I left them a fat ball but otherwise I am not giving in!
