A moment in time

Cacti

We have a large plant in the living room, the name of which escapes me;  we have had it for about fifteen years and it has been neglected over the years many times but always seemed to survive.  However, just before Christmas it finally gave up the ghost.

Today we decided to go to the garden centre at Stirling for a wee triip, and while there we wanted to choose a replacement, as they have a good selection.    Unbelievably, as we entered the shop, who should appear but our daughter C, who had been at a meeting in Alloa and was here to have a bite of lunch before heading home.  So we had a nice chat and snack with her.

We found a replacement plant, which we are pleased with, which appears to be called a Calathea.  And I also bought two cacti plants, for my little collection of cacti and succulents, and which I have blipped.  All good.
