Storm Eowyn (2)
We woke up to no power , no signal and no water but eventually, having managed to make some tea using the wood stove in the lounge, we made our way out to see how our neighbours on the hill were doing.
We also drove up the Glen and there were fallen trees everywhere, with some work underway to clear them off the road though no sign of anyone from the Council. We managed to get a bit of a phone signal on our depleted phones and it was clear that most of Cowal was now without power and with no expectation of that changing over the next 24 hours.
There was a big old lime down at the Caravan Park but most of the obstructions were the result of too much growth too close to the road, something that many people have been complaining about for a long time.
In the evening we gathered at John & Morag''s for a drink and something to eat , and in the darkness there were still pictures to be had, as one of my extra photos show.
