Dark sky with a moment of sunshine

We were very lucky in Bristol (as far as I know) - I have seen on blip, and on the BBC website,  roofs damaged or blown off, trees blown down, and lots of people left without electricity. Not to mention incredible dramatic waves crashing.
But it did rain almost all day, so I did things indoors, which was perfectly enjoyable.  I say this as a person whose roof has now been fixed:) At 2.30 it was almost dark. Then at 3 the sun came out briefly, and the trees at the back looked like this.  The birches look really silver because the sun is lighting up the wet trunks. About 15 minutes later it was raining again, and carried on all night as far as I can tell.
Getting deeply worried about climate change.  I’ve read a few articles recently suggesting we have passed the tipping point and cannot stop the momentum now.  And that’s even before the orange one and his ‘drill, baby, drill’.
