Showers Of Blessing!
We experienced showers of blessing in several ways at FBC this morning. the blessings began with the light rain we drove through on our way to church. It was only a little, but it felt like a gentle whisper from heaven. The blessings continued as we learned that Pastor Wes was back in the pulpit ready to continue exploring the riches of the book of Ephesians. We were blessed as we began our service with a congregational song, followed by the welcome from Daniel and,
again, as the choir and orchestra and all our talented accompanists presented a wonderful arrangement of the song, "Praise The Lord Ye Heavens Adore Him" that was done by one of our choir members. The congregation joined in on a few more songs before Pastor Wes took us back into Ephesians, focusing on Ephesians 5:21-24, which seems to be one of the most misunderstood and misused passages of Scripture in our world today because men want to apply it too broadly to achieve their own goals and women may not realize that they have a choice if they are being told to do something illegal or immoral. Paul is speaking to husbands and wives, not boyfriends and girlfriends, or just any man who interacts with any other woman. Pastor Wes explains it all quite clearly in the Live-stream which would be well worth your time whether you are married or have been or want to be or never marry. The final blessing of the morning was a visit to the open house at the totally remodeled pre-school building. I am sure you can figure out which of the pictures in the collage were taken over there. They also had some really great pictures on the walls of some of the kids who come to this building for Wee Ones on Tuesday and Thursday and on Sunday morning for Sunday School. Our grandson is one of those children and it blessed me to see the lovely place that our church provides for our young children and babies.....
