Fire works

In an effort to dry out my knee injury I lit the woodburner in earnest this afternoon and it has been very cosy in here ever since.

I finished rebuilding the Ducati which Dad had carefully disassembled before returning it, and put it back in its home on the bookshelf. For fun I then took apart another large LEGO model for Dad to have a play with, once he's finished playing with the current one of course.

The recent storm did a lot of damage at the Royal Botanic Garden in town. They lost 15 good trees, including the very tallest, a majestic 29 metre Deodar Cedar that was 165 years old. I wonder how the Tree Cathedral down south near Whipsnade fared.
