What a day!

It's always a big gamble introducing the owls to someone, especially someone you'd only met the night before! Plan A had been for a friend and a friend of the friend to come and spend a couple of days with the owls and eye, then the weather got in the way of that plan and so it became just the one day. Then on Friday night family plans had changed so it was jut myself and the friend of the friend. But what an epic day we had. The barn owl gave us a lovely showing as the sun was rising. The kestrel provided mid morning entertainment and then not 5 minutes after we got back from brunch when the main image followed by the one with the Kestrel and the 3 crows transpired! There followed an action packed afternoon and a beautiful sunset. Sadly no-one danced in the perfect evening light, but to capture shortie and barnie in one shot was pretty amazing - it's 1/80th at ISO 10,000 so never going to be an award winner, just a lovely record of an epic day. Extras, because just one photo can't ever capture so much action.

Hope you had a good day too.
