Laneside Farm

Awake early I listened to Radio3 Breakfast from 6:30. Presenter Tom McKinney is a near neighbour and someone I know well enough to talk to about birds. I don’t know much about music but certainly enough to recognise the importance of Jacqueline Du Pre who would have been 80 years old today had she lived.

8:30 I did the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch hour - poor light but I got 10 species the most unusual was a Goldcrest.

At 11:00 I was on a circular walk via the Cemetery when the weather changed for the worse and the windchill was biting. This photo is of the listed building Laneside Farm.

Lunch was a new M&S Tom Kerridge creation Ready-meal Mushroom, Leek and Butter Bean Cobbler. Very tasty and filling, nothing else needed on the side!

A sleepy afternoon hiding from the wind and rain then Crumpets with butter ( not my usual low fat spread) and honey.
