The Green Man
Not really a day for outdoor photography so this is one of the pieces of needle crafts made by the members of Warwickshire Stitchers. They make these small pieces and send them to other members of the group. This is one Gill has received, it is about the size of a credit card.
Referred to as Artist’s trading cards
The Green Man can be an artistic motif (a foliate head) on e.g. churches, but also appears in folklore, particularly as Jack of (or in) the Green associated with May Day and the arrival of spring in the Northern Hemisphere.
