Blind optimism?

Waited until 8pm tonight for the parcel which never arrived (again).
Nipped out into the garden for a last minute blip and noticed the tomato plants have, at last, begun to flower.
They are my first attempt to grow tomatoes outside and are in the flower bed along with the roses, some peppers, a few onions and even a few annual flowers.
I don't have many expectations of the tomatoes but perhaps rather more than I have of delivery of the parcel before Monday.
One can but hope.
