Dark Skies Discovery

B and I escaped the sleet, and the awful damage done by the storm (not to either of us thankfully), and headed South, to the North! A lovely afternoon wander around Corbridge, a trip to our favourite bookshop. And we even had an afternoon cuppa and a cake outside in a sunny spot. Then it was down to Hexham for a nice dinner, and the highlight of the day. A dark skies discovery night! It was awe inspiring what you could see of the universe through the telescope and we learnt a lot from the amazing astronomer with us. We also got to learn about and hold space rocks! What a magical evening! And frankly the only Saturday night out that will have me up till 11:30pm these days!
