BBQ lunch at ours

It's Sunday of a long weekend in Australia. It is officially known as Australia Day, commemorating the arrival of the first fleet at Sydney Cove on this day in 1788. Not necessarily a happy day for the first nations people, the date has become controversial.

We put on a barbecue lunch for Margot and her two mums, one of my nieces and the youngest of her five sons. That's him in the photo, as usual posing nicely and keeping still.

The dishwasher has finished its first load and the men's final of the Australian Open is about to start. Early night for me.

Have a great start to the week.
