Old Postcard Album

Continuing on from yesterdays theme of 'something old' this is an old Postcard Album from Dougs Dad's family.  Sadly, its in bad repair as can be seen by my blip.
I googled the the lady Miss Gabrielle Rae....

"Gabrielle Ray, the postcard sensation, was born April, 1883.
Ray was an actress, dancer, and singer who starred in many of London’s West End productions during the late 19th and early 20th century.
At the height of her fame, she posed for thousands of photographs. Many of these were printed and traded as picture postcards, which spread her image across Europe. Thanks to these prolific portraits, she was believed to be one of the most photographed women of her time."

The couple on the left are the HRH The Prince and Princess of Wales.

And good news - this afternoon it is raining, and a decent one at that.
