Late Birthday Lunch
Out for lunch today - my deferred birthday present from #2 son. Before that I spent ages (in the heat, it was a sunny morning) doing my hair and then completing that tax return. There are other things I want to review but they can wait.
Picked up #2 son at Solaris and then off to the Gordon Ramsay Restaurant in the Sunway Pyramid Hotel, took ages, traffic!
Apart from a minor hiccup about a forgotten voucher (which was solved thanks to a helpful neighbour) we had a lovely lunch. Fantastic service, which is not usually a thing here. 3 courses and wine and then at the end they brought me a glass of fizz, a special dessert with a candle and a card. Aw! The place was not busy and it felt very relaxed. Outside we could see folk in the huge waterpark (the area was a former tin mine now flooded) and it was sunny, till it rained.
S drove us back, much quicker and once I'd discovered that haggis was not on the menu for tonight - they were off picking up Eryi from KLIA followed by late dinner - I stayed home, had a swim before it rained and watched more 2023 'Silent Witness' and had cheese on toast.
However, I've agreed to go to the Selangor St Andrew's Society Burns Night on 1st, dress, cocktail dress. There will now ensue some days of sartorial angst as I don't think my wardrobe here meets the spec.
It was a lovely sunrise this morning and you could see the Genting Highlands (extra) on the top of the hills to the north from the window, the original Genting casinos.
