Crosby Beach

My sister in law C arrived lunchtime. It’s been a lovely blue sky day, so mid afternoon I suggested a trip to Crosby beach and Another Place - she had never been. The sun was very low in the sky as we arrived, and as usual I took quite a few photos as the sun sank on the western horizon.

I heard my first mistle thrush of 2025 singing today. It’s such a wistful song, nothing like the confident singing of the song thrush but always early (they are very early nesters) and for me a harbinger of Spring.
