Hill Top Ramblings

Fine weather

It was a really nice day today, and we got various jobs done in the garden. I finished trimming the privet hedge, and Rob got the last of his poles cut for firewood.
After a break and a cuppa, we went up to Helsington Barrows. Such lovely views, with the fells dusted with snow. We popped in to Low Sizergh Barn for some garlic, and came away with various goodies including some smoked sausage!
It’s Grahams birthday so we had a little chat, Wendy was busy playing a game and Gilly was making supper. Graham is looking forward to our visit as he wants to show us how good he has got at the board game we gave him for Xmas! I expect he will beat us!
And of course it is Burns Night too, which makes it easier to remember both events! We had the inevitable Haggis supper and a wee dram of one of Robs malt whiskies, so all very relaxed now!
