Sometimes.....

..... you see it immediately.
Laundry on the the whirly gig.
An early start today as I was off out with a friend.
Fetched the papers in the car, dropped ours back home for hubby then down to CK.
Lights were on, curtains closed, radio playing. Mum was in bed with her clothes on. Guess she must have got up & dressed then at some point gone back to bed. I told her to stay there snuggled up. Took Indie out for an hour. Back home Mum still in bed. Arghhh! Jane was coming at 9.30ish.
"Come on Mum up you get". :-)
Off to the bathroom she went. I got breakfast started.... "Mum, you okay?" "Yeeesss"
A little later...... "Mum you alright in there?"... "Yeeesss". Hhmm! I went into the bathroom.. She was just about to put hand-wash on her toothbrush. Phew!!
Mum had breakfast. Jane arrived. Off we went.
We drove out to Moretonhampstead to watch a play in the town library. Farewell Jamaica. A one man, one act play telling the Windrush story. Our tickets were £2.88 each.. Weird! There must have been 80-90 folks in the hall. The organisers had to keep supplying more chairs so not too many had booked on-line obviously. There was plenty of interaction. Very well performed. Jane has lived & worked in the Carribean for the past 40plus years so was interested to see the play.
We had a mooch around the town after, very few shops trading sadly. 3 businesses closed up & For Sale signs in the windows. We visited the charity shop. I bought a pair of good as new Armani jeans for £5, Jane found a very warm, well fitting orange coat for £15. Then we had lunch in The White Hart. Perfect!
On the way back we shopped in the new Lidl's store in BT before I dropped Jane back home in Hennock.
Back to Mum's I made her a hot meal, then headed home to a very cold reception. Hey ho!!

A most enjoyable few hours spent with a friend.
