Antique Bullfinch

We were delighted to see a pair of bullfinches in the garden this morning.  I didn't realise until trying to blip them just how dirty the windows were from yesterday's storm.  Not sure what caused the dirt either as this was at the side of the house that didn't directly get the weather.  So I leaned into the effect to make the effect seem deliberate.  Really good to have them in the garden and a shame I wasn't doing the garden birdwatch.

Had a lovely day shopping in Strathaven with neighbour W, we went round all the lovely little shops and I actually spent money for once.  I got some clothes and a jigsaw, saw a hat that was perfect for my friend's son and then also got a bakewell sour cocktail in a pouch for P.  We then had lunch of soup and cake at the bakery which was delicious, all over a good catch up! 

The weather has been interesting, snow this morning then some very sudden hail and snow showers whilst is Strathaven, then glorious sunshine for the rest of day.

Back home, it was payday yesterday so I booked train tickets and a hotel for our London trip later in the year and now it feels like time to stop spending money.
