Its the Way It Is

Kiosk

Lovely morning as you can see.

A swim with my pals at 8am and then a sprightly walk to get myself warm.

This photo taken at 0845 and Her Worship spreading her light across the sky. Lots of walkers, joggers, cyclists (on their way by the coast to Greystones and then inland to the Sally Gap).

My angle is the green kiosk in the shade with a jogger running through the sun but also the bandstand reflecting some golden light.

This is exactly how I like to start my day. Enjoying nature on my doorstep but also being aware of how certain man made constructs (appropriately designed and placed) can enhance what has existed forever. By this I mean the sweet little seaside kiosk, the cast iron curly wurly railings, the bandstand where, in summer, brass bands entertain the crowds.

So it’s all in this photograph. And I’m pleased with it because it’s an affectionate tribute to a place that gives me joy.
