Timber!

This seems to be the only casualty from Storm Éowyn in the gardens around here. It’s clean up time for Bob (little chance the neighbours will help even though it’s their tree) but apparently his brother will be round with a chainsaw as soon as the last of the storm blows by. That’s a 4 metre high wall by the way. I was worried about the big elms opposite us because they were swaying back and forth like garden shrubs but apart from deadwood scattered around they look fine. The last time there was a storm like this our allotment hut blew over so I’ll be checking that tomorrow!
One storm casualty though was Friday night in the pub. No buses or trams running and folk didn’t fancy hoofing it so instead we had home cocktail night. It was our day off from the Fitness Booster so no option really!
