From grandmothers
Quickly taken image of a teacup from, I think, my McLean grandmother's house. Used very occasionally for a tea party.
Slept part of today, rested, read, cooked, and went on an online search for that grandmother's grandmother's family. I stumbled across a note the other day about Ruby Ann McLam, who my grandmother, growing up in Palouse, called "Little Grandma." Ruby Ann (a name my sister always wanted to use for a daughter) was descended, apparently, from a family near Glasgow named McIlquham. I was so happy to have learned that. The family name became "McLam" after Ruby Ann's grandparents and young father immigrated to Vermont in 1832.
Back to work tomorrow for a mid shift, which will be a new experience, 1100-2300. Really hoping to avoid the norovirus going around (and flu A, covid, etc....) Stay safe and well!
