Old faithful

Not often used these days due to more modern methods of radio listening, but when the power went off today from noon until just after five this old faithful was a blessing. The power cut put an end to working, so the afternoon was very relaxed despite the wild weather outside.  I think we've escaped relatively unscathed but the neighbour's garage roof felt has peeled off, another's fence has blown down and there are a couple of things from neighbouring gardens that have been blown into ours. A few trees have come down blocking local roads but thankfully no reports of any injuries. Still very blowy out there.
