Blowing in the Wind

Storm Eowyn was still blowing quite strongly at 16.00 so I went for a short walk across the fields, avoiding all trees. Even so, there was a long length of fence down, by the mine water treatment works and the hedgerow ashes, affected by chalara, lay in piles of tossed twigs along the cart track.
I think everyone in the North will have a story to tell of waves, rooves blown off, electricity cuts, tree-fall, blockages and other damage, but our little lonnin got away lightly this time.
It is quite difficult to photograph wind in a still picture but the gale had these plastics flagging up weather extremes.
