The Rack

I woke up early today. It was a beautiful morning with amazingly vivid red skies. I spent the entire day supervising in the office, which was busy but fun. In the afternoon, we were treated to some drama in the sky as deep indigo storm clouds rolled in, followed by torrential rain. Vanessa and I spent much of the evening tangled in paperwork. We’re in the process of getting Irish passports for the boys. The initial stage, the Registration of Foreign Births, demands a small mountain of paperwork for all five of them. Copies of birth certificates, passports, marriage certificates, deed polls and a gazillion supporting letters must be printed onto the dried skins of white labradoodle puppies and then countersigned in unicorn blood under a new moon. OK, well, maybe not… but you get the general idea.
