A bit breezy
It was calm when we went to bed but we were woken in the early hours by the first strong gusts howling around. A first there were fairly calm periods between the gusts but gradually the average wind speed went up and the gusts were stronger and more frequent. Apparently 102mph was recorded on the Tay Bridge (which was shut) - and we didn't even get the worst of it here.
I ventured out once, briefly, to remove the largest Douglas Fir branch from the fruit cage but wasn't going any nearer the trees. I took this pic from the bedroom window as a stronger gust hit, though it's hard to capture the effects on a still pic. There will be a lot of debris to clear up next week.
The car is in a fairly sheltered spot and seems fine.
I made bread and did some housework, though not quite what had been expected as the new mattress delivery was postponed - no surprise, but I did get a fair bit of admin done. Mr Rat did quite a bit of work but didn't move much all day.
