Just a patch of golden light

I count myself as very lucky as the storm raged around but caused no damage to my house. As you can see our power cables are still attached and working hard and my aerial is still attached to the obsolete chimney.

Late in the afternoon I noticed the golden light appearing behind the roof of the house across the road. Not a real sunset but it was good to see a break in the clouds.

The wind is still gusting very strongly and the noise is at its worst when the wind hits the windows.
