The somewhat overlooked and tucked-away local artwork, Force 10 and Beaufort Scale by sculptor Michael Disley seemed appropriate as Storm Éowyn blew through the country today. Each stone stripe of the pavement bears a description of one of the measurements of wind on the Beaufort Scale - 1 is furthest away and 12 nearest - and the statue is called Force 10 and depicts a figure with a dog tucked under the right arm, facing into the gale.
