Lost in Thought

Snowdrops (and Wide Wednesday Results)

Storm Éowyn ( pronounced "ay-oh-win") is currently battering some parts of the UK but in Warwickshire we have bright sunshine and a windy day.
Some trees are blown down but Birmingham airport is operating so long as you don't want to go to Ireland or Scotland.

The snowdrops in our lawn have appeared so they have become my blip for Flower Friday.  Too windy for focus stacking so this is the best I could do with waiting for a brief drop in the wind.   Thanks to Biker Bear for hosting.
Full disclosure - the whites are a bit blown out - but after faffing about with a mini tripod, a bean bag, and focus stacking I was not keen on a 3rd session out in the breeze.

This week’s Wide Wednesday theme was Colourful or Striking and as usual – there were some great photographs and interpretations.  Worth a look through the entries as there are some great skyscapes – not just the ones I have identified.

Favourites to:

Gajin – an Orkney skyscape
Bobs Blips – Legenda Park colours & reflections
Miranda1008 – Whales – but read her text for some ideas on photographing elements of an exhibition.
Hillary’s View – A patch of Blue – fine mountain scenery
Terrifo – Beach huts in the main Houses in the extra

Honourable Mentions to:

Serious Frolic – Beach Towels – they’ve all gone swimming?
DavidC – A collage of cameras with a colourful centre piece
Hanulli – Tangled Telephone connectors – you all know I can’t resist old technology!
Carol Dunham – a softly coloured sea and skyscape
Freuchie – my sort of a shop!

Special Mentions for Andrew 44Alan33,  SueMiddleton, for their efforts with restricted colour palettes.

Thanks to everyone who entered, as ever, I have very much enjoyed seeing your efforts and choosing the awards, and of course, its just my opinion!

Last one with me hosting next week the theme is monochrome or understated Tag: Widwed290125
